About Florida Adoptions
Florida Adoptions is a small, boutique adoption firm located in Pensacola, Florida. We are deeply committed to adoption and child advocacy, helping to create families and assisting birth mothers when they are at their most vulnerable moments.
For years, Florida Adoptions has worked directly with children and women in crisis through volunteer work, making us uniquely qualified to assist birth mothers when they need help. Although our practice spans several areas of adoption, our passion lies in matching birth mothers with adoptive families and helping moms achieve a better life for them and their baby.
Meet Stephanie
Stephanie is an attorney, community volunteer, a wife, and mother to three boys and one girl. Born and raised in Pensacola, and after 13 years in Nashville and Dallas, Stephanie and her husband, Frank returned home to Pensacola. Stephanie graduated from Vanderbilt University with her B.A. (2003) and Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist university with her J.D. (2006).
After law school, Stephanie was a commercial litigator with Winstead Sechrest & Minick. Stephanie realized her calling was helping children, and she began her own practice representing abused and neglected children in Texas as the courts decided adoption, placement, and parental rights matters. She also served as a supervising attorney for the Children’s Advocacy Legal Clinic at the SMU Dedman School of Law and as a contract research attorney for Texas Lawyers for Children.
In 2017, Stephanie founded Florida Adoptions. She saw a need in the state for an attorney to assist children in finding forever homes. Stephanie’s love for the field of adoption comes from wanting to help those who are the most vulnerable. Stephanie finds time to volunteer in the community. Stephanie was appointed by the Board of Governors as a trustee for the University of West Florida. In 2021, she was appointed by Governor DeSantis to be on the Escambia Children’s Trust Board, where she held the position of chair for 2 years. She is also on the board of several nonprofits including World Help, Student Leadership University, and Rally for Childhood Cancer. Stephanie and her husband Frank have three boys – twins, Henry and Clayton, and Wesley, and a daughter, Kathryn. Stephanie and Frank teach Sunday School at First Baptist Church. She enjoys cooking, running, and spending time with her family and friends.
