What Are Birth Mother Benefits?
“Birth mother benefits” can mean a lot of different things. Most often, when people talk about birth mother benefits, they’re referring to the financial support provided to an expectant mother during pregnancy and up to six weeks after birth. So, let’s dive into this and talk about what sort of support our adoption law firm provides expectant mothers who make an adoption plan.

Florida state law allows adoptive parents to assist the expectant mother during her pregnancy and up to six weeks after pregnancy. These expenses are allowed if you are unemployed, under-employed or unemployable. For example, common living expenses include: telephone service, food, toiletries, necessary clothing, and transportation and insurance. Basically, any expenses necessary for the health and wellbeing of you and your child. Housing assistance, along with rent and utility payments, may also be available to birth parents.
If you have decided to place your baby for adoption in Florida through our law firm, we can help you apply for public assistance programs, medical insurance benefits, hospital support, etc. We will also help you obtain the prenatal care you need to ensure a healthy pregnancy.
