Prenatal care is integral to a healthy pregnancy, and you may need to adjust medications or make a lifestyle change right away. You’ll also want to find out what to expect in the coming weeks and months.
Make note of your symptoms
The body goes through many changes during pregnancy, so you might notice some symptoms pop up here and there. Take note of those. Whether it’s back pain, morning sickness, or anything else, it’s important to keep track of these symptoms and to bring them up to your doctor when you see them next.

- Nutrition. It’s critical to your baby’s health that you provide them with proper nutrients. Ask your doctor about prenatal vitamins, strive to eat a balanced diet, and avoid foods that may be harmful to your baby.
- Rest. Pregnancy is tough. You may find yourself more tired and fatigued than usual, especially in the beginning. Listen to your body and give yourself the space to get the rest you need.
- Be Active. Exercise is a great way to stay fit throughout pregnancy, and to deal with stress. But don’t overdo it! Talk to your doctor about what sort of exercise is recommended. Many women enjoy simply taking walks or doing prenatal yoga.
